A Perfect Meal at The Capital Grille

I just had one awesome meal for lunch.

So it happened that I was on a business trip in Boston with my colleague and, as usual, we headed for lunch when the clock hit 1 pm. And like always, we looked for a place around the neighborhood we were at.

We entered a shopping center near by and we saw this place called The Capital Grille. Quick check online told us that the place had received a lot of good reviews, so we parked the car and stepped in.

We were welcomed by very friendly staff and a fancy dining room full of nice art work. The atmosphere invites business clientele but I would definitely take my girlfriend there on a date night, as well.

First thing that blew our minds were the bread & butter and the house made grapefruit soda. The tastes were as clean and natural as you can possibly imagine.
Next we had soup to start with. I had carrot and ginger soup and my collegue had clam chowder. My carrot soup tasted as fresh as if you had hand picked the carrots from the garden yourself. Ginger added just perfect edge, making the soup vibrant and delightful.

As for the main course I had a lobster roll with french green beans. Not too often have I had so fresh and tasty lobster meat or so delicious green peas. So simple and yet so amazingly good.

The desert was a hard choice but I just couldn’t resist the temptation of chocolate, which was not a bad thing at all. My chocolate cake with house made vanilla ice cream and fresh rasberries was to die for. Meanwhile, my colleague enjoyed his coconut cream pie just as much, as it disappeared from his plate in a heart beat. Even the espresso, which came with a lemon peel, was better than average.

Capital Grille is a franchise with restaurants in several cities. I don’t know if all the restaurants are as good as this one but at least there’s no need to look for any other place for lunch or dinner, when in Boston the next time.

Any tasty comments?
