I’ve been recently asked what do I usually mix into my after workout recovery drinks, so I wanted to share one of my favorite recipes with you. This recipe is by no means a scientifically proper recovery drink but rather a mix of nutrients that I find to be essential for recovery. The recipe follows the recommended 2:1 ratio for glucose and protein. It also includes sources for leucine, the most important amino acid for maximizing protein synthesis.
This recipe is the result of personal trial and error. For me, this mix just works. I would love to hear how it works for you.
